Is America Under Attack?

A group of foreign soldiers invade the sovereign nation and begin killing citizens. The soldiers are well trained, well funded, and have the latest in weaponry, armor, and intelligence gathering. They operate at will, meeting with minimal resistance and seeing no sign of defending troops. They split into two small cells, one of which crosses back into their home country to report on the mission. The second cell advances into a nearby city where they blend into the local population and disappear.

Is it Israel? Afghanistan? Chechnya? Or is it a scene from a bestselling novel or Academy Award winning film?

No, it is America 2010, and its no fiction. Soldiers from the drug cartels in Mexico are conducting raids into Texas and Arizona, and the citizens are terrified. Robert Krenz, a well known and well liked rancher in Arizona was found dead at his ranch. He lived near a wide stretch of border that currently has little defense against illegal incursions. In the town of Fort Hancock, Texas, neighbors recall seeing hundreds of illegal aliens strolling across the border, through the town and off into the larger cities to the north.

James Irby, vice president of the Fort Hancock Water Control & Improvement District stated that  "they just walk across the border, right up my street."
"There has been an influx of people coming over from Mexico."

Some residents refuse to comment, or even report the suspicious activity for fear they will be targeted. "People don't want their names in the paper," one local woman said. "We're all scared."

In 1941, the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, thrusting us into World War 2. The Obama administration doesn't seem to think we are at war now. He refuses to make a significant effort to close the border, focusing instead on crafting an amnesty bill to forgive those already here illegally. Come on people, get the message. The winds of a new world war are already blowing!
