Government Control of Your Life

Gun ownership. Smoking in public places. Obamacare. Its clear that we are all too stupid to know what is best for ourselves. As a result, government entities around the nation are actively seeking and enacting regulations controlling more and more of our private lives.

Examples:
  • California banned the use of trans-fatty oils in restaurants.
  • Maryland passed a law banning alcohol consumption in state parks.
  • In Utah, you have to buy the Rum separately from the Coke in a restaurant.
  • Los Angeles wants to ban sodas from schools.
  • State Assemblyman Felix Ortiz (D-NY) wants to ban the use of salt by restaurant chefs.
  • Officials in Santa Clara County, California are  proposing a ban on toys in Happy Meals.
  • Leola, South Dakota has banned ownership of German Shepherds, Dobermans, etc.
  • New York City banned homemade baked goods at school fundraisers due to calorie risks.
  • Pasadena, CA is considering banning smoking INSIDE YOUR OWN HOME.
Is this the America our Founding Fathers envisioned? What happened to personal responsibility and rights? Where in the Constitution does it give governments, even states, the power to intrude so deeply into our lives? We need to get rid of these politicians that have grabbed onto power they were never granted. If we don't, we risk becoming France!

Transcript of Obama's "Vote 2010" YouTube Video

Transcript of Obama's Racist "Vote 2010" video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oh-yR1HWkbM

"Hello everybody. Today, I'd like to talk with you about the important role in each of us will play and 2010, a role that began more than three years ago when we set out on an incredible journey to change this country for the better. Despite the challenges we inherited, we have made great progress.

When I took office, our economy was in crisis.  Our standing in the world was diminished. Our Healthcare System wasn't working for far too many American families. Many people wondered why it seemed like bad behavior on Wall Street was being rewarded while hard work on Main Street wasn't.

Because of you, we're making the change that our nation so desperately needs. We've passed historic health reform legislation.  We've put our nation back on the path to prosperity with the Recovery Act. And we're moving America forward one step at the time. But despite everything we've done, our work isn't finished.

Today, the health insurance companies, the Wall Street banks, and the special interests who have ruled Washington for too long are already focused on November's congressional elections. They see these elections as a chance to put their Allies back in power and undo all that we have accomplished. So this year, I need your help once more.

A few months ago, we asked you to help us set our priorities for 2010 and tell us how you thought we could win the elections at all levels of government. You told us your first priority was to make sure the same people who were inspired to vote for the first time in 2008 go back to the polls in 2010. So that's what we're going to do. This year, we're going to reconnect with voters like Claudia Schultz. At 29 years old, Claudia had never been involved in the political process because she didn't think one person could make a difference. But in 2008, Claudia joined millions of other supporters like you and made her first ever trip to the polls.

In 2010, it will be up to each of you to ask folks like Claudia to stay involved and to explain why this year, the stakes are higher than ever. It will be up to each of you to make sure that the young people, African Americans, Latinos and women, who powered to our victory in 2008 stand together once again. It will be up to each of you to keep our nation moving forward, to keep working to fix Washington, to keep growing our economy, and to keep building a fairer, stronger, and more just America. If you help us do that, if you help us make sure that first time voters in 2008 make their voices heard again in November, then together we will deliver on the promise of change, and hope, and prosperity for generations to come."

Racism at the Head of the Democrat Party

Last Friday, Barack Obama unveiled his "Vote 2010" campaign video on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oh-yR1HWkbM). On the surface, it sounded like just another campaign speech to rally the troops, full of lies and distortions to help build up the Democrats broken image. But there were some disturbing lines about race, age, and gender calling on specific groups to support him at the exclusion of others. So I did a search to find a transcript of that video. Surprisingly, I couldn't find one, so I transcribed it myself. And you know what? I was right.

"In 2010, it will be up to each of you to ask folks like Claudia to stay involved and to explain why this year, the stakes are higher than ever. It will be up to each of you to make sure that the young people, African Americans, Latinos and women, who powered to our victory in 2008 stand together once again."

Imagine George Bush saying this: "It will be up to each of you to make sure that the senior citizens, Whites, Asians and men, who powered to our victory in 2004 stand together once again.

He would have been branded as the ultimate Racist/Sexist, skewered on the mainstream talk shows, websites, and liberal blogs. Where is the outrage that Obama could be so racist and exclusionary? Is he saying that white people and senior citizens can't help the country? We need the same outrage over these comments that we saw during President Bush's term in office. If this doesn't make you want to vote Republican, what will?

I will be posting the full transcript shortly.

The Main-Stream Hipocrisy

Have you read any coverage about the protests against the new anti-illegal immigration law in Arizona? Rueters, MSNBC, CNN and others show pictures of protesters waving American flags, smiling, and carrying signs in a peaceful, festive manner. Its funny how I have trouble finding any mention of the bottles and rocks thrown at the police, the signs sayinf "Arizona Nazi State" and "Smash the State," or that refried beans were used to smear the word NAZI on the Arizona state capital building.I seem to recall the same media outlets warning about the "hate and racism" and the threat posed by the Tea Party rallies that were calm and peaceful. Its maddening.

BATTLE FOR THE SOUL OF A NATION

By this simple stroke of the pen, Governor Jan Brewer of Arizona has fired the first symbolic "shot across the bow" that could define the future of America. Over the past 40 plus years this country has slipped away from the tenets of the constitutional framework that guided our country since its inception. This new Arizona illegal immigration law re-asserts the role of the state as arbiter of of its own security, a stinging indictment of a federal government that has failed in its duty to secure our borders.

Arizona now becomes the nexus of a firestorm between two distinct ideologies. Traditional constitutionalists believe that our nation's sovereignty is endangered by the flood of illegal immigrants and its accompanying crime, loss of jobs, and devastating drain on public assets. Progressives envision an America with open borders allowing everyone full access to the rights and privileges of American citizenship, no matter what the cost or consequences.

Obama, as titular head the liberal progressive movement, has called the Arizona bill "misguided," instructing the Justice Department to investigate Arizona's right to enact the law. And rather than take immediate action to stop the flow of illegal immigrants, he reiterated his position that the federal government must immediately enact immigration reform at the national level or else risk "irresponsibility by others."

"That includes, for example, the recent efforts in Arizona, which threaten to undermine basic notions of fairness that we cherish as Americans, as well as the trust between police and their communities that is so crucial to keeping us safe," Obama said.

This law is not about destroying fairness- in fact, it supports fairness to those who emigrated here through the legal immigration process. Likewise, it does not damage trust of the police since law abiding citizens will know that they are safer and more secure under this new law.

Over the next weeks and months this issue will loom larger and larger. It has the potential to dwarf all other topics and may become the most critical determinant of the mid-term elections... and possibly of our nation's future.

Obama's Nationalization Agenda

In yet another example of his deep desire to destroy the 10th amendment,  President Obama today signaled his intent to crush the new law enacted by Arizona governor Jan Brewer which steps up efforts to find and arrest illegal aliens.

The law criminalizes illegal immigration in the state of Arizona and requires police officers to investigate any suspected illegal immigrants. Brewer signed the law in response to pressure from Arizona citizens tired of dealing with crime caused by those here illegally, and by the Obama Administration's failure to protect Arizona. In response, President Obama says he is instructing the Justice Dept to determine if the new law is constitutional.

I find it disturbing that the only time president Obama wants to look at constitutionality and legal issues is in a case that is clearly covered by States' rights.  There are many items in Obama's agenda that obviously violate constitutional law, however you don't see his administration doing much to identify and change those issues.  It seems clear by his actions that he has no interest in observing the rights of each state and that he prefers to have such matters governed at the Federal level. The time has come to the Federal government to stay out of the purview of the states.

Deirdre Reilly's Blend of the Day: Boredom in da House!!!

Time to Honor What Really Matters

This was forwarded to me by an old friend.

Courage

LZ X-Ray, somewhere in the Central Highlands of Viet Nam. It's November 11, 1967.

You're a  19 year old kid. You're critically wounded and dying in the jungle. Your unit is outnumbered 8-1 and the enemy fire is so intense from 100 yards away that your CO has ordered the MedEvac helicopters to stop coming in. You're  lying there, listening to the enemy machine guns and you know you're not getting out. Your family is half way around the world, 12,000 miles away, and you'll never see them again. As the world starts to fade in and out, you know this is the day.

Then, over the machine gun noise, you faintly hear that sound of a helicopter. You look  up to see a Huey coming in. But ... It doesn't seem real because no MedEvac markings are on it. Captain Ed Freeman is coming in for you.

He's not MedEvac so it's not his job, but he heard the radio call and decided he's flying his Huey down into the machine gun fire anyway. Even after the MedEvacs were ordered not to come, he's coming anyway. And he drops it in and sits there in the machine gun fire, as they load 3 of you at a time on board. Then he  flies you up and out through the gunfire to the doctors and nurses and safety.

And, he keeps coming back- 13 more times Until all the wounded are out. No one knows until his mission was over that Captain Ed Freeman has been hit 4 times in the legs and left arm.

He  took 29 of you and your buddies out that day. Some would not have made it without the Captain and his Huey. Medal of Honor Recipient, Captain Ed Freeman, United  States Air Force, died last Wednesday at the age of 70, in Boise, Idaho. May God Rest His Soul.

I bet you didn't hear about this hero's passing, but we've sure seen a whole bunch about Michael Jackson and Tiger Woods.

Speaking of the "R" word, Kudos to Arizona.

"Every liberal in America is up in arms about the new immigration law sitting on the Arizona governor’s desk. The ACLU will file a lawsuit if it is signed into law by the governor, Jan Brewer. The media in Arizona is in an absolute frenzy. The New York Times has been all over this story. But, the truth of the matter is plain, residents of Arizona have had their fill of illegal immigrants. "
(From "No Smoke Blown" http://www.nosmokeblown.com/?p=2210)

Arizona is the new epicenter of the real battle for the soul of America. Most conservatives, and an overwhelming portion of so-called moderates endorse Arizona’s new law, but have been too frightened to speak out for fear of the “R” word (RACIST!). Its about time someone had the balls to step up. It’s no surprise to me it’s the governor of Arpaio, I mean Arizona. I just pray it stays out of the 9th Circus Court of Appeasers!

The New Left Warcry

The left has lost the war of ideas. Their insistence on increasing government intervention into every aspect of our lives is meeting greater opposition than they ever expected. Self-proclaimed moderates and freedom-loving Democrats are rising up against government nannyism, and the dedicated left is scared.

So what do they do now? They reconstitute the fear of RACISM. At every turn, leftists are attempting to label Tea Party adherents as racist, sexist, and homophobes with the intent to trivialize the movement and frighten away interested folks.

Each of us has a duty to refute this label. Remind anyone who is interested about Jeremiah Wright, Father Pfleger, Louis Farrakhan. Remind them about Jason Levin, the ultra-liberal middle school teacher who incited other liberals to infiltrate Tea Party rallies with racist signs.

We are not racists. We are freedom loving Americans who want life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all!

Fear and Loathing in the Democrat Party

On Friday, Bill Clinton warned that the rhetoric of the Tea Party could foster another Oklahoma City style bombing. He followed up yesterday on ABC's "This Week" by suggesting that the "Right Wing Media" and the blogosphere "could be culpable for any future politically fueled extremism."

Bill is clearly trying to paint the Tea Party movement with a conspiratorial brush to scare off moderates and democrats that sympathize with the Tea Party message. This is right out of the Saul Alinsky book Rules for Radicals: A Pragmatic Primer for Realistic Radicals published in 1971.

"Rule 9: The threat is more terrifying than the thing itself." By attempting to associate the god-given right to peaceful protest with the terrible Oklahoma tragedy, Clinton hopes to use the remembered pain as a political weapon.

DON'T BE FOOLED-The true message of the Tea Party IS succeeding and the Dems fear its power and loathe its potential. Bill Clinton understands that a distrustful and dissatisfied electorate spells doom for the Democratic party, and he, along with the other Democrat leaders, will stop at nothing to tear us down.

Politically Correct Solution to Political Correctness

On November 5, 2009, US Army psychiatrist Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan killed 13 and injured 30 at Fort Hood in Killeen, TX. Twelve of the dead were soldiers, and one civilian was also killed. There were many warnings that could have prevented what now appears to be a terrorist act.

So how do you prevent a terrorist attack against the military on US soil? By banning personal firearms from military bases, of course. At least that's what Secretary of Defense Robert Gates seems to believe. In what could one of the most absurd, boneheaded moves by the Obama administration, Gates announced  a new policy placing significant restrictions on privately owned weapons on base.

The plan is clearly another attempt at furthering Obama's politically correct agenda . Will it prevent a dedicated terrorist from carrying weapons? No. Couldn't a military issued weapon be used to kill as just many people? Yes. The sad truth is that this tragedy would have been prevented by properly "profiling" Hasan's risky behavior, irrespective of his race and religion. If the Army had not been hamstrung by  worrying about "insulting" Muslims, they would have removed Major Hasan months or even years before, thereby preventing the shooting.

BACKGROUND:
According to NPR, "Both fellow students and faculty were deeply troubled by Hasan's behavior — which they variously called disconnected, aloof, paranoid, belligerent, and schizoid. The officials say he antagonized some students and faculty by espousing what they perceived to be extremist Islamic views. His supervisors at Walter Reed had even reprimanded him for telling at least one patient that "Islam can save your soul." (Nov. 11, 2009)

Politics Shift to the Right

The continuing right-shift in political ideology is embodied in a recent Rasmussen poll showing 51% of New Jersey voters want Obamacare repealed.

New Jersey, a traditionally liberal/Democrat controlled state shocked the nation when voters elected Chris Christie (R) to replace embattled incumbent Jon Corzine.

Independent voters are driving the shift, making a clear statement they are sick of the government opposing the will of the people. Although national support for the repeal is 58%, New Jersey has come a long way to shed itself of the liberal mantle it has worn for years.

Kudos to you independent thinkers in NJ. Keep up the great work!

Crash The Tea Party?

Jason Levin, a Beaverton, Oregon teacher, created the website www.CrashTheTeaParty.org with the intent to recruit disruptors for the Tea Party demonstrations tomorrow. Their intent is to discredit the Tea Party by carrying racist and hateful signs and to provoke racist or hateful comments by Tea Partiers and record them for news circulation.

This morning I infiltrated his website, and found something unexpectedly interesting: The majority of comments posted in the forum were PRO Tea Party, and denounced the intent to disrupt. The ratio was easily 10 to 1 in favor of the Tea Party. As you would expect, many of the site's supporters used extremely foul and provocative language to disparage Tea Party supporters, and several even called for violent action. What a surprise!?!

Today, Jeff Mapes of The Oregonian posted that Levin is now being investigated by the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission of Oregon State because "there was enough concern that there was some neglect of duty" on Levin's part. One of the aspects they could investigate is if Levin, who teaches in the Conestoga Middle School media lab, used school computers to create or maintain the website.

How to Fix Congress

I received this letter from a family member. Its been around a while, but it bears revisiting...

"I am sending this to virtually everybody on my e-mail list and that includes conservatives, liberals, and everybody in between. Even though we disagree on a number of issues, I count all of you as friends.  My friend and neighbor wants to promote a "Congressional Reform Act of 2010".. It would contain eight provisions, all of which would probably be strongly endorsed by those who drafted the Constitution and the Bill of Rights..

I know many of you will say, "this is impossible".  Let me remind you, Congress has the lowest approval of any entity in Government, now is the time when Americans will join together to reform Congress - the entity that represents us.

We need to get a Senator to introduce this bill in the US Senate and a Representative to introduce a similar bill in the US House.  These people will become American hero's.. ."

Congressional Reform Act of 2010

1. Term Limits: 12 years only, one of the possible options below.

A. Two Six year Senate terms
B. Six Two year House terms
C. One Six year Senate term and three Two Year House terms

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career.  The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.

2.  No Tenure / No Pension:

A congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career.  The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.

3.  Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security:

All funds in the Congressional retirement fund moves to the Social Security system immediately.  All future funds flow into the Social Security system, Congress participates with the American people.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career.  The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, server your term(s), then go home and back to work.

4. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan just as all Americans.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career.  The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.

5. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise.
Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career.  The Founding Fathers envisioned  citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work..

6. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career.  The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.

7. Congress must equally abide in all laws they impose on the American people.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career.  The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.

8. All contracts with past and present congressmen are void effective 1/1/11.

The American people did not make this contract with congressmen, congressmen made all these contracts for themselves.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career.  The Founding Fathers envisioned  citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work..

An Expression of Subservience, Again

On April 2, 2009, Barack Obama did something no American president has done before- he bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia. This act of subservience, signaling to the world that Obama holds himself at a lower station than the King, sent shock waves around the world and through America's conservative community.

Now he's done it again, and this time to the President of Communist China. It disgusts me that our leader, the leader of the most democratic and powerful nation on Earth, considers himself and us beneath the Chinese.

When will Obama start acknowledging America's greatness? I don't think he ever will.

More tax equity except for "The Rich?"

With looming budget deficits and record spending, Obama is once again going after "The Rich" as a way to "pay for" his historic levels of debt spending. This seems to be the fallback position for every liberal administration going back to the days of LBJ.

There theory is that since "The Rich" have more, they should pay more than their "fair" share to help the less fortunate via government spending. History has proven this ideology wrong.

According to Richard Vigilante, co-author of "Panic: The Betrayal of Capitalism by Wall Street and Washington,"  the argument against raising such taxes is clear. "Every single time we've cut capital gains taxes, the revenue from capital gains taxes has gone up, not down. Because you get more investment, stock prices go up, bond prices go up, and as those things go up, the government collects more capital gains tax revenue."

Donald Rehr, a professor at George Washington University, argues “the wealthy invest that money in publicly held companies in private firms in entrepreneurs -which create more jobs, create more products and create more service and create more wealthy.."

"So it's not like they go home to their big mansion every day," he says, "and look at their pile of money on the floor and say, 'hey let's count it again just for fun. They don't do that. They invest it."

Obama promised during his presidential campaign that no one making less than $250,000 per year would see "one-cent" in tax increases. His latest proposal however add taxes for singles making $200,00 and couples making $250,000. By the way, if a "couple" makes $250,000, doesn't that mean they make $125,000 each?
So much for another Obama campaign promise.

Tearing Down Tradition

Conservatives believe that one of Obama's goals during his presidency is to remake the traditions of the President's role in politics. He has postured himself as the central mover and shaker of policy, particularly with the economy.  In every interview, and many of his speeched, he says "I will do this...." or "I am going to make sure that....." Has he forgotten that he is an elected official of a representative government?

Yesterday, he broke another tradition, smaller that others but no less poignant. When a President leaves the White House, for any reason, protocol dictates that the press corps accompanies him. It is there responsibility to record and report on the President's activity, both for news media and for historical record. Obama chose to "sneak" out two hours before the press corps new he was gone. He intimated that he wanted some privacy at his daughter's soccer game. Its understandable, but its wrong. When he was sworn in, he gave up the right to such privacy. As with so many other aspects of his personality, he exhibited the narcissistic belief that he has that right.

Mr. President- if you want privacy, step down. Otherwise, do your job and uphold tradition.

What Does it Mean to be a Conservative?

I received a comment to a post I made earlier from a charming woman from Spain. She was very upset with me  because I made a comparison between the traits and actions of Obama and of Hitler.

(Read here: http://www.conservativesunite.com/2010/04/who-am-i.html).

In her opening statement, she stated:  "I don't know why I came here. I don't agree with anything you say and have only been reminded of why I am not and will never be a conservative."

(Visit her blog at http://ibleedformydreams.blogspot.com/)

So I started thinking about what being a Conservative means. As a Conservative, I believe in:
  1. Freedom- freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom from unfair taxation by the government, freedom from the government telling me how to live and what to drive and what to buy. Freedom to pursue my dreams without censorship by the government, or any other group proclaiming to represent "the best interests of others" while trying to limit my freedoms.
  2. Personal Responsibility- All whole people have the ability and responsibility to provide for themselves and their families. The central government has no right, nor the legal authority to take resources from one group and give it to another based on one person's or one group's ideology or beliefs. I do believe that society should care for those truly unable to care for themselves, but that such assistance should come from local governments, not a centralized power.
  3. The Constitution- The constitution was crafted for the express purpose of protecting against the concentration of power in the hands of a central controlling force. I believe that the concepts on which this nation was founded are NOT flexible, or "living" as progressivists maintain. I believe that a return to the guiding principles of the constitution would reverse the current downward trends and bring us back to greater prosperity.
  4. Goodness- I believe that every individual is good until they prove otherwise.
  5. God- The source of every persons rights is from God, not the government. The only responsibility the central government has been given by the people is to protect those inalienable rights.
So, to Sarai-  You have the right to dislike or decry anything and everything I say, however I'm not sure which part of being a "Conservative" offends you.

What Constitutes Racism?

The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines racism:
1 : a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race
2 : racial prejudice or discrimination

So what happens if someone is of mixed race? Which race should that person identify with? If a child is born to a Japanese mother and White father, what is the child's race? If she identifies herself as white, is she being racist toward the Japanese?

These questions are relevant in light of the 2010 census. Barack Obama, the child of an African black man and a white mother, failed to acknowledge his half-white heritage on his census form. The instructions clearly state "Check one or more boxes." He should have checked BOTH black and white. So why didn't he also mark white ?

Racism exists at all levels of society. Does it exist at the top?

Starting the Devolutionary War

Playbook for preparing a nation for invasion or destruction:

Step 1: Destabilize the economy
Step 2: Diminish personal freedoms
Step 3: Demoralize the citizenry
Step 4: Dismantle national defense capability

The American economy is in a shambles. Massive unemployment, record debt, widespread foreclosures, and the government bailout (takeover) of large segments of the industrial/corporate base. There are direct causal relationships between actions taken by the Obama administration and the state of our economy. The stimulus bill was promised as the be-all, end-all solution to our economic woes. In fact, it has caused a deterioration in individual wealth and small business's ability to hire and retain employees.

Economic distress has increased reliance on welfare, food stamps, Medicare and Medicaid, and  larger portions of society expect the federal government to provide for individual needs. The new health care law is a perfect example of "nanny state" ideology. It doesn't end there. Our government is actively pursuing additional measures to abridge individual rights. The stimulus bill carried very stringent controls over sates and businesses that took the money. Obama wants to limit places that people can go fishing off the coast. The upcoming Cap and Tax bill will place strict rules on the use of energy and gas, limiting how we heat our homes or drive our cars.

As the economy crumbles, and the government incrementally strips away our individual rights, there is an increasing sense of helplessness and doom settling in across the population. There are still pockets of the population that understand and passionately defend the constitution, but depression breeds despondence. It amazes me how many people I speak with ask "why bother?"

Now, Obama has chipped away at the forth pedestal of our sovereign strength- our military. Several weeks ago Obama announced an agreement with Russia to limit nuclear warhead counts to 1550. In 2002, we had nearly 10,600. This agreement decimates our nuclear deterrent capability, while increasing Russia's relative strength. On April 6th, Obama unveiled his new policy on the use of nuclear weapons- specifically, the fact that the United States would never use nukes against a country that lacked a nuclear arsenal and fulfilled followed the UN's non-proliferation agreement.

This pronouncement of intent is a green light for those nations developing biological and chemical weapons. Where is the deterrent if we promise no nukes? Worse yet, the new rules will also limit the development of delivery systems capable of carrying nuclear warheads.Obama touted our conventional weapon strength, but he failed to mention that the very missiles he proposes to limit also deliver the conventional payloads he touted.

I am sure that Duke would not show its defensive playbook to Butler. Wouldn't that increase the risk they would lose the championship? So why would the President of the most powerful nation in the world telegraph our playbook?

If this change in US policy was an isolated decision, we could easily attribute this to inexperience or error. Taken in combination with his attacks on the other legs of society, you have to wonder if there is something malevolent in his heart.

Racism on the Left

The opposition to Tea Party ideals are using a familiar tool- the accusation of racism. A woman named Marti called the Sean Hannity show today and said she'd seen many racist signs and heard many racists statements during Tea Part rally coverage. When Sean asked for specific evidence, she couldn't provide it. She said it was just a "feeling."

To her credit, she acknowledged she had heard racist statements by Jeremiah Wright, and even in her own church. Lewis Farrakhan has spouted as much anti-Semitic and anti-white trash as David Duke ever did about blacks, yet the mainstream media rarely reports it.

I believe that there are some racists in the Tea Party, just as I believe there are racists in congress, and in the "Hispanic community," and in every other group you can list. But I don't believe that because one individual is a racist, the whole group can be painted with the same colors.

A Rousing Failure of State

The appeasement mentality of the Obama administration is "coming home to roost" in the form of a relations breakdown with Afghan President Hamid Karzai. Karzai accused the United States of "meddling" in his country's affairs after three Afghan women were accidentally killed in an anti-insurgency operation. Since Karzai's fraud-ridden election concluded with Karzai pronouncing himself the winner, he has blamed the West and the US in particular for interfering with Afghan politics.

He made a thinly veiled threat that if the Obama Administration didn't stay out of his political business, he could see a possibility of Taliban resurgence and a possible political alignment between his administration and the Taliban.

During his campaign and after he was elected, Obama railed against the George W. Bush for focusing on Iraq, and promoted a buildup of forces in Afghanistan. Its clear that Obama's inexperience handling foreign affairs places a greater risk on the security of American citizens both here and abroad. It would be a failure of epic proportion if Karzai switched sides.

Who Am I?

I am a young, inexperienced but extremely charismatic man rising to great power in a meteoric fashion. I have excellent oratory skills, and my charismatic personality endears millions of my people. I hold huge political rallies in stadiums around the country to the cheers of millions of screaming fans.

My supporters believe in me without question, and the mainstream media endorse everything I say and do.  Children across the country, both in schools and in community groups, sing songs of praise about me, and I encourage children to take an active role in my political vision.

I was born to a communist father who worked as a government employee, and my father took little interest or responsibility in my upbringing. I have written two books, one about my own life and one about my view of the world. I have wealthy, powerful men backing both my candidacy and my political agenda.

I am an experienced "community organizer," I promote social justice and I demonize the "fat cats" that I believe are ruining the country.  I recommended the creation of a national police force to help maintain order during civil unrest, I support universal health care, and I have associated with antisemitic community leaders. I favor a socialistic society rather than a capitalist one.

If you guessed Barrack Obama. you are correct.
If you guessed Adolf Hitler, you are correct.

Kinda scary, huh?

Great Article about the Welfare State

Quote from http://www.nosmokeblown.com

"We need leaders who will make bold statements like 'I will eliminate the Department of Energy, which has consumed a trillion dollars and produced nothing. I will eliminate NASA. I will simplify the tax system and cut the IRS by 80%. I will cut government jobs by 50% and cut pension promises by 40%.'"

Is America Under Attack?

A group of foreign soldiers invade the sovereign nation and begin killing citizens. The soldiers are well trained, well funded, and have the latest in weaponry, armor, and intelligence gathering. They operate at will, meeting with minimal resistance and seeing no sign of defending troops. They split into two small cells, one of which crosses back into their home country to report on the mission. The second cell advances into a nearby city where they blend into the local population and disappear.

Is it Israel? Afghanistan? Chechnya? Or is it a scene from a bestselling novel or Academy Award winning film?

No, it is America 2010, and its no fiction. Soldiers from the drug cartels in Mexico are conducting raids into Texas and Arizona, and the citizens are terrified. Robert Krenz, a well known and well liked rancher in Arizona was found dead at his ranch. He lived near a wide stretch of border that currently has little defense against illegal incursions. In the town of Fort Hancock, Texas, neighbors recall seeing hundreds of illegal aliens strolling across the border, through the town and off into the larger cities to the north.

James Irby, vice president of the Fort Hancock Water Control & Improvement District stated that  "they just walk across the border, right up my street."
"There has been an influx of people coming over from Mexico."

Some residents refuse to comment, or even report the suspicious activity for fear they will be targeted. "People don't want their names in the paper," one local woman said. "We're all scared."

In 1941, the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, thrusting us into World War 2. The Obama administration doesn't seem to think we are at war now. He refuses to make a significant effort to close the border, focusing instead on crafting an amnesty bill to forgive those already here illegally. Come on people, get the message. The winds of a new world war are already blowing!

Ignorance is Strength for the Left

John Carey, publisher of The Current posted a great piece on the foundations of liberty and tyranny.

Sarah Palin's Real American Stories

Did any of you watch her show last night? It made me proud to be an America. With her usual down-home style and bright, witty personality, she showcased a collection of stories that remind us what is really means to be a citizen and a hero. The stories included: a mother whose soldier son had a destroyer named after him, a boy with cerebral palsy and the dog who gave him the strength to fight, a millionaire who pays the college tuition of underprivileged children, a young woman who risked her life to pull a man from a burner tanker truck, and the story of why Toby Keith risks his own life in Iraq and Afghanistan to play for soldiers in remote areas.

It was incredible moving, and Sarah was at her best. And yet, as you probably expect, the progesso-socialist-lib media can't seem to find a way to say something nice about her. Its more clear than ever that they fear her!

Hank Stuever of the Washington Post:
"The debut on the Fox News Channel ofSarah Palin's "Real American Stories" Thursday night turned out to be like one of those shows that's on when nothing's on and yet there is air to fill -- like infotainment you sometimes see on empty channels in hotel rooms, or the stuff that's playing on the little TV screen at the gas pump nearest the rental-car center. What are we watching exactly? (A commercial? News?)," he wrote. So for an hour she glommed on to some of her real Americans' realness and turned it all into something that is pointless to argue: America is great. People can do whatever they set their mind to because they are exceptional, because America is exceptional. The search continues for a tune that Palin and Fox News seem forever convinced goes under-sung. " http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/04/02/AR2010040204207_pf.html

Mary McNamara of the LA Times
"As a host, Palin brings little besides her name and all that it has come to mean. Despite her time on the campaign trail and in front of often-unfriendly cameras, Palin still has an eyes-locked-on-the-teleprompter stiffness." http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/showtracker/2010/04/the-campaign-continues-sarah-palin-as-tv-host.html

Alan Shroeder on the Huffington Post
"The flap over Real American Stories further proves that Sarah Palin is no longer a politician but rather a product to be merchandised -- in this case, merchandised in a cut-rate way. Implicit in any personality-based marketing strategy is the need to maintain strict quality control over the product line. It appears that Sarah Palin is now willing to slap her name on just about anything, with all the discrimination of Krusty the Klown." http://www.huffingtonpost.com/alan-schroeder/faux-interviews-fox-news_b_521511.html

Obama Becoming a Conservative?

In a stunning reversal, Obama announced today that he will NOT seek to implement the new health care law, and will abandon the cap and trade bill coming up this fall. This is a result of three days of consultations with a contingency of Republican leaders headed by Dick Cheney, former vice president under George W. Bush.

"We have come to an agreement with President Obama regarding a new, real spirit of bipartisanship," said Mr. Cheney. "We had an earnest, but fruitful dialog."

President Obama, who held a joint press conference with the former VP added, "I realize that I have not been completely open and honest with my conservative counterparts. This meeting has provided valuable insight and will result in greater consideration and cooperation."

Rush Limbaugh was also consulted by phone during the meeting, and it is rumored that the President and Rush will have a beer together on the White House lawn early next week.
